Good News for Geothermal Homeowners!!
The Federal Energy Tax Credit for Geothermal Heat Pumps had originally expired on 12/31/2016. On Feb 9, 2018 Congress approved bill H.R. 1892 to reinstate this tax credit retroactively back to 1/1/2017 and extend it until 2021. A little light reading?? You can read the bill here - go to page 85, Section: 40402. Click Here for the Bill (it's big - 250 pages) Based on this bill, the tax credit was scheduled to be reduced from 26% to 22% on 12/31/20.
But then...
On Jan 3rd, 2021 congress signed bill H.R. 133 which extended the 26% tax credit until 12/31/22. On 1/1/23, the tax credit will be reduced to 22%, and will end altogether on 12/31/23. On August 16, 2022 Congressional bill H.R.5376 set the residential tax credit back to 30%, including retroactively for the 2022 tax year and continuing through 2032. The Federal Energy Tax Credit is 30% for all geothermal heat pump installations in 2022 through 2032.

We are a wholesale distributor of Bosch-Florida Heat Pump geothermal heat pumps. Mill Pond Sales is a family run operation, still doing business the old fashioned way - with a handshake. Located in southern New Jersey, we are a distributor for Bosch-FHP (Florida Heat Pump*) water-source Geothermal, Air-Source (Inverter, ducted), and specializing primarily in geothermal application. We sell the spectrum of Bosch-FHP residential and light commercial geothermal heat pump models and replacement parts primarily in New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. However, we are a U.S. geothermal distributor and authorized to sell and ship to any continental U.S. state.
At Mill Pond Sales experience counts; we have 44 years in the geothermal heat pump trade, many of which we were contractors of geothermal HVAC installations, both open and closed loop. We were licensed well contractors for 25 years, installing over 1,700 geothermal and water wells in the tri-state area. As we are no longer contractors, you can take advantage of our knowledge and benefit from our long and varied installation experience.
